Kristin Mueller, MA, LMHC, RPT-S
My name is Kristin Mueller, and I provide a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for clients and their families and incorporate various techniques and therapies into my work depending on each individual’s needs. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Substance Use Disorder Professional, and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor in Washington State. I incorporate play and a playful sense of awareness into all of my work—whether that work involves a child, an adolescent, or an adult.
My educational background and professional training and approach to therapeutic work are based on a developmental and systemic model that believes all people develop and change as they grow and all growth takes place in and is influenced by a family and/or societal system. Whether I am working with an individual or with a family system as a whole, any change made in one part of that system will impact the individual and vice versa.
Clinically, I have extensive training in the assessment and diagnosis of learning differences, and I provide educational consultation and coaching for children and families who are working with struggles related to attention deficit disorder, poor executive functioning skills, sensory processing disorders, and any other difficulties that children may have in the learning environment.

Known throughout Seattle as Work and Play Therapy for a decade, my practice has also grown to meet the needs of young children as they mature into adolescents. I love meeting new families and being part of their journey for a more peaceful, resilient, happy home life!
